ONE CHARACTER’S BACKSTORY

Raised by her widowed mom in San Francisco, Detective Chief Inspector Tammy Luck lost her father in the Vietnam war. They moved to London before she entered middle school. Her mannerisms showed how she handled the experience of loss in work. She was very focused and didn’t tolerate anything that didn’t speak of excellence. She found nothing more vigorous than climbing the racks in Scotland Yard. It was more important than a personal relationship.

Her closest ally was her younger sibling, Robin became an engineer and worked as a senior draftswoman in one of the most prestigious architectural firms in London. They are a close-knit trio. A lover of words, she reads the Newyorker publication and gleams strategies from the periodical. She types one hundred words per minute. She hates publicity and has a love-hate relationship with the press.

We learn as time passed, she’s reunited with a man named Mike Valentino, who is from Spain, lived in London for his schooling years, and resided in Napa Valley as a film studio owner. Their meeting place is the five-star luxury hotel Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair, London. He’s deeply in love with her. As weeks passed, he asked her to marry him, but Scotland Yard duty takes precedence.
